On this week's episode, Sam and Teresa interview director Andrew Ahn over an iced latte. Andrew Ahn is an award-winning filmmaker, best known for his feature films, Spa Night (2016) and Driveways (2019). Driveways, starring Hong Chau, Lucas Jaye, and Brian Dennehy, tells the story of an eight-year old boy who helps his mom clean out his late aunt's house and forms an unlikely relationship with a neighbor who is a war veteran. Ahn talks with Teresa and Sam about making films with POC narratives, the use of space and subtlety in Driveways, and obstacles Ahn faced when filming Spa Night.
